Restricted Performance, EGR issue Long time lurker, first time poster! I have the dreaded orange light and restricted performance message on my Jaguar S-Type 2005 2.7l Diesel SE. It is not on constantly or from cold, but appears between 20 and 50 miles in to a journey, but not every time. It seems to come and go between trips.

But, short runs and diesel engines are not a good combination.
